I noticed that when I changed my handle, it redirects the old handle to my new handle. Will this always be the case?
How are old mentions handled in comments? Also, what is to stop someone from changing their handle thousands of times to “squat” on handles? I see there’s a limit 2 handles per month you can create. Does the handle change count toward that?

Hi! Welcome! You can create 2 full accounts per month (from the “switch” link), and each account can change handle up to 2 times per month as well. Just added the later limitation. So squatting is prevented by simply being really slow to squat. The old handles redirect to your latest one and you only are allowed to go back to them. Still count as handle changes. Mentions redirect to your new one also.
