Very cool: our kids' bathroom toilet overflowed last night, resulting in water draining into our kitchen on the floor below.

I empathize, we've had that happen within the last year too, even the same bathroom-over-kitchen floor plan. And the extra test of patience: the kiddos don't have the skills to properly clean and sanitize that kind of mess.

Might be a good outcome to this. Water remediation folks want to take out 30 sqft of drywall to ensure the space btwn floors is fully dry. But my architect father-in-law thinks this is yagni and we can get away with just using a fan and space heater to let it dry out on its own ๐Ÿค”

Thankfully, the zero cost option seems to have worked out. Had fans pointed up at the ceiling for a couple days. Will have to patch up some water-damaged drywall, but think we can avoid opening up the ceiling ๐Ÿ˜Œ

Been a bit quiet here the last week or so. Recovering from ill health, at risk of redundancy, and working on side projects. It's been a bit full on. Does anyone make pay check/cheque money from side projects? Can I use my redundancy runway to turn some websites from side hustle to salary money?

Recovering from ill healthHope youโ€™re feeling better now!Does anyone make pay check/cheque money from side projects?Thatโ€™s the dream, Iโ€™ve only made a few hundreds so far. Iโ€™ve had a machine gun approach. Shoot as many rounds as possible in the hopes I might hit something. #AInotesfollow has helped immensely in this direction. Similar with having access to so much critically acclaimed media, but they are so emotionally or intellectually draining that I find myself rewatching ol' familiars. Availability seems just one aspect, and perhaps not even the most limiting factor. Maybe most people have a "limit" on number of "lives", as in number of times you fall in love, change, get inspired, connect, etc..

Developed a Vinboard (my pinboard.in clone) shortcut, works really well. On iOS it lives in Share menu, on macOS in the Dock.
