"Sharing economy" once meant something. You'd Uber someone BโC when already driving AโBโCโD; you'd AirBNB your home when vacationing and stay at someone else's home who was doing the same. No driving just for Uber; no houses just for AirBNB. I fear this history will be forgotten.

first few days of a new online community always feel magical. hope the magic persists here for a long time
I never have enough time but Iโd love to do a bit more recreational programming with esoterical languages like kitten, , and . AoC and Project Euler are good because they just require an answer but thereโs also loads of simple puzzles online that rely on being able to submit the code in common languages. Iโve been wondering, however, if I could use an LLM to take those problems and create a verification harness for any language I like.
I've been enjoying toast to help click through a project. I still mostly use Zed to handwrite code, but it's nice to open a pane and fire up toast from the terminal. paradise-runner.github.io/toast/
At moms house for the holiday weekend so the kids can see Nana. She has a "premium Plex" account on her tv serving a truly massive amount of content. Allegedly the brother of a long time friend is offering the "service". She says that the service will go down when the host is having outages, so the infra is likely local.
I brought my year this weekend. We are going to dig in to this guys operation. Intuition dictates that there is some hand rolled accounting going on. I'd like to see it.
