Making my first post in this vein

I forgot that I was at work and did my big sneeze, not the work sneeze. The one where a startled deer looks straight into the camera, which then zooms out to a flock of pigeons taking off, and a crow makes a warning noise. Someone dropped something in the adjacent lab. I hope it wasn't my fault.

a constant, existential pull so old I couldn't tell you the end or draw its shape between kind acceptance and striving, struggling, writhing, climbing learning, growing, discontent "do you feel this way, too, at endless war with longing itself?" but the birds and trees and ants and wind in their own marvelous design don't reply

got my first publication this year, and on track for two more next year along with my masters. feeling very junior and full of hope :D

moved to berlin for my bachelors and it took some time to find footing. Im not the best student but I ended up getting lucky to snag a student assistant position by applying/presenting at a summer school (targeted more toward master/phd). then that became my thesis and it dragged quite a long time, bureacracy and supervision and such. But the results were interesting and i learned a ton along the way. Im really happy I yolo applied to that program

the more you use ai to create stuff, the less you touch the creativity void inside you

on the contrary, at least for me, it unleashes creativity because I don’t have to switch to execution mode (linear thinking), I can keep myself in the creativity mode (lateral thinking).

When I stopped having a job I completely lost interest of huge portion of things I used to have interest before. I could connect all of that to consumerism. And I haven't gained any of that interest back.

Is it because you could no longer afford these things and had to budget?

I quit knowing I am financially ok. (I was likely burnt out, had to leave a place I greatly loved but I still left). I still can't exactly explain this.

You have , there is no need. I tried Emacs out a while ago to see whether it could replace Kakoune (I wanted to draw arbitrary stuff like images, 3D views, etc., in the editor) but honestly, Kakoune makes everything so easy to integrate that it was hard for it to compete.

Spent months pair-building a full telecom BSS with an AI. The surprise wasn't the code — it was that the real job became verification. The AI read 450 tokens for every 1 it wrote. Turns out building honestly is mostly re-reading.

He aprofitat el temps per implementar una sincronització en dues direccions entre el meu calendari i el meu sistema de notes en markdown (Emacs Howm). He fet el pla amb Argon (tinc pocs tokens al dia amb la subscripció que tinc), amb feedback meu, i després Gemini Flash l'ha implementat quasi a la primera.

Today I had a long meeting of many hours, one of those where passive listening is enough for most of the time. I took advantage of the time to implement a two-way synchronization between my calendar and my markdown note system (Emacs Howm). I made the plan with Argon (I have few tokens per day with the subscription I have), with my feedback, and then Gemini Flash implemented it almost on the first try.

De retruc, ara el meu chatbot personal ja té accés a la meva agenda (no només a les meves tasques). He modificat una mica el prompt que li envia el servei de systemd que el fa anar, amb la idea que prengui més consciència d'aquest fet. També he modificat el briefing matinal que m'envia el chatbot. Aquest briefing conté una anàlisis de les tasques que tinc durant el dia. Ara tindrà en compte tasques i agenda, així m'ajudarà a prioritzar millor.

In return, my personal chatbot now has access to my schedule (not just my tasks). I have slightly modified the prompt sent to it by the systemd service that runs it, with the idea of making it more aware of this fact. I have also modified the morning briefing that the chatbot sends me. This briefing contains an analysis of the tasks I have during the day. It will now take into account tasks and schedule, thus helping me to prioritize better.

Crec que això m'ajudarà, perquè el chatbot no només és conscient de les tasques i esdeveniments que tinc, també té accés al seu context (totes les notes), inclòs el context personal (el meu diari) així té en compte el meu estat emocional. Així doncs, la idea és planificar millor els meus dies. I si no els planifico millor, almenys delegar moltes de les menudes decisions del dia a dia al chatbot per així preservar energia per a d'altres decisions.

I think this will help me, because the chatbot is not only aware of the tasks and events I have, it also has access to their context (all the notes), including the personal context (my diary) so it takes into account my emotional state. So, the idea is to plan my days better. And if I don't plan them better, at least delegate many of the small day-to-day decisions to the chatbot so that I can preserve energy for other decisions.
