well, one should be Windows 11, the other Windows 10, just for scientific curiosity, in theory Windows 10 can still last this year without any serious problems

That's so funny, I've never seen anyone get into it by this quote alone, he's the antagonist of the game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. The quote is even better when you hear it in context, but don't spoil the experience, you ought to play the game and hear it for yourself. What do you normally play?

I play tf2 and fallout NV(if it wasn't obviously enough)!!! when I were younger I was a big fan of gacha life lol

Going to document some approaches to produce data visualizations using ari via DuckDB. Don’t know why it didn’t occur to me earlier, that there would be some solid community extensions for in DuckDB.

I was trying to use an approach that relies on community extensions, but installing them is proving finicky. Going to consider an approach that requires less futzing.

Start with cringy poem, end with cringy pseudocode. At least it comes naturally.

I've found myself really liking the "megamerge" workflow. Not an alias, just a whole thing.

Make a list, then tackle each thing individually until it's done

replied to:

Gotta give it try, by now making a list is like the top of the list

replied to:

Determine what matters most and make a list of the no more than 7 things. Do one thing well at a time, top down. Reprioritise as you learn more. Notes:

If you half-arse a task and decide that'll do, it's evidence it wasn't the right priority. Learn.
Any sort of productivity, multi-tasking, app, solution type thing is a scam or a money grab and isn't needed.
People tend to remember 7 things well, but struggle with longer lists and particularly fail to remember things in the middle.

It's cute because you have to put it in a sandbox right away (Virtualbox is a sandbox) so it doesn't mess up everything on the machine or the server or anywhere else, but these AI chatbots are basically peaceful little animals, right?

I'm still getting used to the idea that because of Gemma 4, I'll have Windows 11 on my computer first (and that there will be a presso in Szentmihály), so it's hard to get started.

So even though I'm clumsy, the law of conservation of matter could still work better than it does here, or rather, it shouldn't work here, but it doesn't.
