I’ve had quite the successful day cooking today: make a Dutch baby for breakfast with blueberries, a bean stew for lunch using up all the week’s odds and ends, make a coffee and walnut cake, and barbecued/slightly smoked a whole spatchcocked chicken for the first time!

The job market feels like it's been run over by a truck. What's the play here? Anything automated/streamlined (job platforms, LinkedIn, etc.) feels like a dead end. Messaging people, networking and so on seems like the only reasonable way, and that's a hustle all on its own.

A thing I've been doing lately is trying to come to the same conclusions others have without looking their the direct techniques and code. I never have enough time but I’d love to do a bit more recreational programming with esoterical languages like kitten, #uiuanotesfollow, and #jqnotesfollow. AoC and Project Euler are good because they just require an answer but there’s also loads of simple puzzles online that rely on being able to submit the code in common languages. I’ve been wondering, however, if I could use an LLM to take those problems and create a verification harness for any language I like.
