I'm just an android launcher called Nocebo Launcher.
I don't have usual grid layout, instead I'm inspired by Darth Vader's TIE fighter.
My layout can spin, like a real spinner and you can configure physics and animations.
I'm easy, cool and novel

Guess we're doing Halloween stuff on sale everywhere now ๐
Ordered JBL Charge 6, waiting for delivery today. Will mount into my bike and will listen to music while commuting 25km to the office. I'm a victim of marketing, seeing an ad, buying stuff.
Previously bought Do Nothing Club cap after friends visiting us and we discussed it while eating pizza; and then my wife got an AD on Instagram. Meta is listening for conversations to sell ads.
I laughed at this. I'm all for people crafting their own tools, but it really feels like everyone's reinventing the same handful of wheels for agentic development.
Do you walk your neighborhood?
Do you sit on your front porch and say hello to passersby?
@tel๐ดprofilefollowI really enjoy learning, I really enjoy making. I'm learning to be less guarded.wrote:
I've been on a kick lately of trying to visualize the oscillating clock, and ultimately the effectively arbitrarily complex activity of a computer processor, as modern refinements of the line shaft factory of the 19th century. Of compute as being not much more than profoundly refined "work" delivered by the electrical grid into marvelously complex machines.
Does that, as a metaphor at least, feel as important to you as it has to me of late? We spend so much time in a world abstracted.
I subscribe to the Tony Stark school of engineering. "Sometimes you have to run before you walk." Earlier this year, I built my own static site generator. I hate literally every static site generator out there (not joking). get-taxus.org
What is the exact definition of an IDE? JetBrain's products are as good as ever, in my opinion, but people have definitely made non-IDEs into big, hulking behemoths with tons of plugins. If anything, maybe "just an editor" is dead?
I think they mean the transition that all IDE's are making towards an agentic interface, hiding the code completely as humans will not have to interact with it since the AI will be doing a better job at everything, even auditing it.
Catastrophic interference is also a favorite Wikipedia page and concept. The thing is, it doesnโt only happen to artificial neural networks, Iโve had it happen to me a few times. Especially with pin numbers, newer pins overwriting old ones and Iโm always scared when Iโm having hard time remembering something that this catastrophic interference applied and now the information is gone from my brain.
