Just read a really interesting article on Japanese geography and history and it made me realise despite how great the Japanese are at adapting to a changing world they actually donโt have much of a history of being the centre of that innovation unchartedterritories.tomaspueyo.com/โฆ/how-japans-geography-determined-its

ยทยทยทยทโโยทยทโโยทยทI needed to process 20,000 json files & 20,000 JXL files. I'm pulling together a website from them all. Anyway, started with emacs elisp to handle it all, just because I've not done that before. Went kinda ok, and I'm gonna use org-mode to export it all to a website (done that bit loads of times before).
In the end, I ended up breaking out my C programming skills (late 80s->nowish). It was a delight. Nothing more refreshing than writing raw code, that doesn't rely on 3rd party code/libs.
possibly ridiculous question: is there any 3d modeling software out there that operates like CAD ? (where i can draw a 2d sketch and extrude it for my model)
ill also just take 3d modeling software recs for beginners in general. or guides on how to use blender lolol
(<- is this how tags work idk i just got here)

Iโm not using Claude Code. This is how you drop the ball.
