AoC and Project Euler are good because they just require an answer but there’s also loads of simple puzzles online that rely on being able to submit the code in common languages. Huge refactor today, moved from sync SQLite to Worker based, touched 88 files, pre- it would have taken a week or so, finished now in ~1:30h. And I wouldn’t have the confidence I have now that it went correct. It went well, though a bug or two might surface, we’ll see.

SQLite is embedded in the main thread same as the HTTP server. I noticed some requests dropping and because the queries have become more complex I figured it has to do with SQLite blocking for too much time. Moving it to a Worker makes the DB asynchronous and bypass this problem.

Determine what matters most and make a list of the no more than 7 things. Do one thing well at a time, top down. Reprioritise as you learn more. Notes:

If you half-arse a task and decide that'll do, it's evidence it wasn't the right priority. Learn.
Any sort of productivity, multi-tasking, app, solution type thing is a scam or a money grab and isn't needed.
People tend to remember 7 things well, but struggle with longer lists and particularly fail to remember things in the middle.

Essential commands are: ip for network interface and routing config host/dig/nslookup for DNS querying tc for traffic control nft for firewalling mii-tool for interface tweaking nmap for LAN discovery tcpdump to view traffic ping/ping6/traceroute/traceroute6/mtr for debugging connection issues
