is pretty fun. Some very nice improvements in 0.9 today.

So, I've been using this harness for a week and a half now, and what's interesting to me is that it brings a lot of things that I'd already built for myself in Pi. I built a little email system for agents to communicate, a memory system to do this "continual harness" thing of self-improvement. I know I'll move on to another harness in the future, so I'm trying to treat this like I do laptops now, and think about portability in the things I build or customize.

guess who found some really cool book in my house!!! me! it's called the secret teachings of all ages.. should I give this a SHOT!!?!??

bill gates built microsoft by making computation cheaper faster and harder for government to restrain. now that he's a billionaire no longer dependent on the free market for his own success he's discovered the virtues of taxing the next wave of computation. 1995 gates would have called it a tax on innovation. classic pull-the-ladder-up-behind-you politics.

These were exactly my thoughts reading about how he thinks we should “preserve” some jobs for people; I don’t remember him being an advocate of preserving the jobs of typists, draftsman, typesetters, and other clerks when his company was leading a prior digital revolution…

i just got home from the day trip to Zaragoza, it's late and I got to wake up early tomorrow (・・;) How am I visibly the most tired, but I'm the youngest? I need more stamina ( ￣▽￣)

I’m getting my canon rebel t6 tomorrow yay!!

why do I love characters who are evil? is this just my coping mechanism? or am I a bad person? oh, why am I this way..!?

created a quiz:

programmer emergency: production is down. You change absolutely nothing and restart the server. It works. What did you fix?

(replies are hidden until you answer the quiz)

I made a chrome extension to bring the top Hacker News stories to your new tab, with quick summaries. So every time you open a new tab, you might discover something everyone else hasn’t heard about yet. If you’ve never heard of Hacker News: it was created by Paul Graham(founder

Added #meta tag — use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the post’s page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag you’ll see unless u follow. I’ll try to tag every post I find.

看到其他文章有自動翻譯，我覺得很酷

I think it's really cool to see other articles with automatic translation.

所以我來嘗試一下自動翻譯的文章功能，但發現自動翻譯只有在瀏覽器上，行動裝置要自己手動按翻譯功能。

So I tried the automatic article translation feature, but found that automatic translation only works in the browser; on mobile devices, you have to manually press the translation button.

Testing this quiet corner of the web. I collect small notes about everyday tools file formats, tiny utilities, offline workflows. First post is just a hello; longer notes will follow once I settle in. Plain text feels good after years of heavy editors.

Hey that's interesting... I have an interest in plain text markup languages and tools and stuff. Feels like an overlap. :)

I’d love to hear also about these workflows. Welcome!

Returned from the gym. Good day.

How old is textlog?

Asking, how popular can it be if not hugged to death? ;)

Thats why im here, hello

Hello, everyone. I am how are you? Today is Friday. Welcome to my text log.

What's up ku, welcome to this hard drive where you can share a slice of consciousness with many :--)

Hi ku (:

hi! 🙌

Hi 👋

we also launched Norma! :) It checks AI-generated code for security, quality and maintainability while the agent is still working, rather than after a pull request opens. The output is deterministic. Here the demo link: portal.qualityclouds.ai/demo

Naturally, as soon as I return from a week of vacation, GitHub is having an outage 😑

…

I have something that usually builds, tests, and deploys under five minutes. It has been over two hours and forty eight minutes and it is still going on today... 🫣

Cancel and retry? Btw textlog builds, tests and deploys in ~45s 😁

…

I wanted to see what it would do. It got automatically canceled in six hours.

Can't spell "social coding" without "slo ci/cd"

'wade in the water.' isn't this the challenge of being 'ahead'? so many of us are waist deep in the same sea, it's hard to see what's in front of us vs. what's behind us. then we see the yacht boys sail by with their new masters, splashing us in their wake. then we grumble amongs

then we grumble amongst ourselves about 'that was my idea,' then carry on.

Seems the spammers have arrived. ☹️ Is there (or can there be) some mechanism to flag posts or accounts as spam?

You tap on the post a few times until you are at the post page of that post and you click ‘report’. There you can select reason ‘spam’!

I reported one post for spam twice today - there was no indication on re-viewing the post that I had already reported it. I think that some sort of indicator of posts I have already reported would be good. Or, if it's simpler, just don't show them to me in the feeds after reporting. Thanks.
