I wonder, is life best lived like a job? I.e set goals for yourself and then work to achieve them? Today I realised how passively I have been living mine so far, but maybe that's ok? I don't want a second job.
Quebec City is pretty amazing. Excellent food, tons to see and do, surrounded by nature, mountains, islands. My kind of place.

Do you live there or are just visiting? I remember feeling so at home there as a kid. I never kept my French up so I don't think I could ever move there.

Visiting, for the first time. It's about a 9 hour drive from home so we've never made the trip, but so worth it. Went to Ile d'Orleans yesterday, just... so quiet and beautiful. Seems a bit of a paradise, haven't even made it up to the natl park(s) yet. My French is coming back a little each day, made it all the way through the coffee order just now :)

Well, I think my IRCd (Eris v2) is close to be complete.
Currently it provides a single read-only tool that lets agents fetch all the data in Main about the user's home (details about the home itself, systems/appliances, documents, any repairs they've logged). I think it could get interesting once we provide additional tools for logging repairs, upgrades, and more into the home's memory.

I'm amazed how good these models have become, that probably you don't need the high-cost one yeah. This is like the third time in my life I've seen an interrobang in the wild. And I don't know, but I'd prefer JSON over having configuration as constants in a PHP script like at $DAYJOB sob

My problem with yaml is the indentation annoyance it leads to, and if you are using the same tool on two different machine like windows and linux, have fun configuring those tabs and spaces all the time. I do like toml and ini for editing, but json is not as bad as yaml for sure

Job I was hoping for gave me the "we found another applicant" treatment. I don't begrudge them for that, since I know I had a 'less than adequate initial coding interview. But still, it stings and sucks. Hopefully my other interviews yield better results...
me too, but at the same time i'm enjoying getting things done, otherwise i would get lost in details like bikeshedding naming variables and making the code look pretty, and little would be done.
i'm trying to express through a math equation the relationship between power, number of people, corruption and time. corruption = (time in a position of power * power)/number of people who have power what do you think?
