I want to avoid the “rush” of living on the edge all the time. Want to slow things down, put some thought, make browsing a profile look like reading one’s thoughts like a book. To feel timeless.
That’s what I’m hoping for! Resurrecting old interesting discussions based on their content. And also not ignoring posts that are not fresh, e.g responding to a “good morning” post. If you see “5h” you would ignore it. Now you don’t know. Let’s see how it goes for a few days.
I think this is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist on this platform. I would predict that any sense of "timelessness" will come from #tlogenter to follow's plaintext-centricity and feature minimalism, not a lack of timestamps.
@stagascreative technologist creator of textlogenter to follow If anything, a lack of timestamps would reduce the value of historical posts on here. Without a timestamp, I have no idea that I'm looking at a historical post to begin with.
