I tried Omarchy to explore Hyprland, Waybar, and similar tools. I'd seen them in beautifully riced tiling desktops and wanted to experience that myself. Mainly, I wanted an opinionated, different desktop experience to break from my usual setup. Next time I reinstall, I'll probably take my custom Hyprland and Waybar configs and move to a Debian/Ubuntu-based system. Have you had the opportunity yet to play around with Omarchy?

Upon further reflection, creating a sense of missing out on something is the essence of modern marketing.
I spent some time looking into what Omarchy has become since I installed it on my system, and I don’t think I like it anymore. ^^ Using it mainly to open a browser or applications like VS Code… well, I can do that with any OS. But the whole “AI-first” direction, DHH, and everything surrounding it are making me reconsider. I’ll probably migrate away from it soon. #bummerenter to follow
