I got weirdly rate limited for one hour and the experience was extremely odd. No site link worked. None. I was trying to reply and halfway I wanted to fact check something, copied my half finished message and went back a page, checked and went ahead to click reply or something and boom! Rate limited.

Now when you hit the heuristic it will show you a captcha to prove you’re not a bot and that will whitelist you for the day.

Improved it further, logged in accounts will not hit the heuristic at all.

The first one shows
textlog.cc with no styles (opened in a private session), since those got rate-limited, I guess, while the second one shows the page while I had things cached.
