Intro: Wisen to create a recursive learning loop for my coding harness. Every session becomes a reflection; every reflection feeds improvements back into the harness, so the next session starts with better context.

Turned Stepper (self-hosted AWS StepFunctions) into client-server. Server hosts state machines, clients poll for tasks. New resources about running . claude -p works, now thinking if I need interactive session management.

The live tab on the android app is interesting... How does it work? This is a test 🫣

Does it do some kind of polling? Is there some kind of notify like publisher subscriber? 🤔

It’s using the /firehose endpoint. It’s an SSE endpoint publishing everything latest. Though I meant it to be used server-side, since it’s heavily rate-limited — up to 3 conns under the same network, but I can’t control how clients decide to use it so.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lifted, that’s how clients want to use it then so be it! Should be fine. We’re nowhere near crashing the server from connections.

is pretty fun. Some very nice improvements in 0.9 today.

So, I've been using this harness for a week and a half now, and what's interesting to me is that it brings a lot of things that I'd already built for myself in Pi. I built a little email system for agents to communicate, a memory system to do this "continual harness" thing of self-improvement. I know I'll move on to another harness in the future, so I'm trying to treat this like I do laptops now, and think about portability in the things I build or customize.

My 3yr old woke up at 5am this morning crying - not terribly uncommon - and when I went in there to check on her she just said "daddy's here" without looking at me and went back to sleep

Sharing your work with others is a hard computer science problem in 2026, the Year of our Lord. You either here the sound of chirping crickets or the sound of "AI Slop" yells.

My past 3 projects went viral. I didn’t write a single line of code in any of them. But I still feel I engineered them. There were a few people that noticed but the majority didn’t see an issue.

You're fortunate in that you've genuinely captured something that people clearly want with textlog. No one wants another static site generator or coding harness. Ideas that resonate are pretty few and far between now.
