What’s the difference between a script-kiddy and a real ? Abstraction. You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. I’m not talking about design patterns or vs . These tools can help. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.

thinking on deploying excalidraw on my homeserver, so I can store drawings without bothering with export/import. Yes, excalidraw+ for $7/mo; but nowadays I pay only one sub - for Claude; everything else is personal software.

Well, done, Claude did while I drove a car. It even added save/open file from the server (stored in SQLite). Deployed on my homelab server.

I am a remote worker, and has been for 4 years now. It works great. But the owner of the office I've been renting have sold the building, and the new owner has different visions. I could work from home, but my 3 month daughter is a screamer. I had a great, cheap deal. All alternatives I find is like 3x the price.

Not a bad idea. I know some people rent a single desk in some other companies office. Problem is you kinda need to know the owner to find those deals

I've been building a Markdown variant called Zd that's focused on extensibility and simplicity. I'm curious what you would change about Markdown if you were designing it from scratch, what challenges you face as a user, or what you wish were easier to do when incorporating Markdown into your own projects.

Yeah, 100%. That is completely something I am punting on currently. It would be easy to just copy over the solution from (extensions to) Markdown, but it's hard to entirely narrow in on both what tables ought to do and how to make them do it. If you had a magic wand, what would you have them be more like?
