The Typst language is Turing complete. Does that mean it could be the target of a C compiler? Could I compile the Linux kernel to Typst? Certainly, one could build a mean web server with it. Look out .php, here comes #typstnotesfollow
There are two kinds of suffering. One which you run from, and it follows you everywhere. And there is suffering you face directly, and in doing so become free.

So damn insightful.
textlog runs on a 2.5โฌ/mo vps 1 core/2gb ram, using just one instance of Bun with its embedded SQLite. Works perfect and I run a few other apps as well on that machine.
Iโm ambivert. When I spend time outdoors and with people I want to keep doing that, I become very extrovert. Canโt code in that mode. Itโs hard to switch back to introvert but when that happens time flies really quick. A month can pass and it feels like a week.

Also, you might be more confident in being able to keep a short URL stable (it's already a step of indirection, so if you want to reorg your site you can just update where the short URL points to). But people don't really take care to maintain short URLs anyway, apparently.

Job I was hoping for gave me the "we found another applicant" treatment. I don't begrudge them for that, since I know I had a 'less than adequate initial coding interview. But still, it stings and sucks. Hopefully my other interviews yield better results...
In the middle of migrating very old, homegrown tomfoolery into a more modern stack. Fun and vexing at the same time. This codebase has all of the bad decisions. All of them.
It was only yesterday that I clicked on a Translate button to read a Japanese post. Today I see a Chinese post with English translation right below. Beautiful stuff.
