Is it that you donโ€™t enjoy coffee, or you donโ€™t enjoy Starbucks? Iโ€™m not a fan of Starbucksโ€™ coffee myself, but do enjoy coffee I make at home or get from local coffee shops.

being a student is great but the tasks are really quite boring. ive worked in academia now a little bit and its genuinely much more fun to work on something real, read papers, do experiments and write. So, I've been using this harness for a week and a half now, and what's interesting to me is that it brings a lot of things that I'd already built for myself in Pi. I built a little email system for agents to communicate, a memory system to do this "continual harness" thing of self-improvement. I know I'll move on to another harness in the future, so I'm trying to treat this like I do laptops now, and think about portability in the things I build or customize.
there's no fundamental physical limit that prevents silicon from developing taste and judgement, but language is a lossy compression of reality. taste comes from experience, from the shadowy mass of episodic memory, which swirls and convects at the boundary of consciousness. the ideas recombine into new ones in the nuclear reactor of the hippocampus. but no matter how imbued with meaning and expertise is a handmade wardrobe we still get our shit from ikea

The essence of aligning large LLM models is basically to conform to the existing social order. ChatGPT respects China's order, while China's open-source models, although reluctantly, also tolerate the order in the US. Maybe we can build a revisionist SFT dataset.
