I made a thing: SwiftTUI.shSwiftTUISwiftTUIBuild terminal user interfaces in Swift with SwiftUI semantics: views, state, focus, gestures, and animation, compiled to one native binary for macOS, Linux, and Windows. Try the live demo, then run the same app in your own terminal.

Most of programs use key chords, like Cmd-Shift-G, Ctrl-Alt-N and so on, you need to remember and press awkwardly several keys at once. #Emacsnotesfollow uses key sequences, C-c then k then p then l. If I forget after C-c k p then press C-h and help appears.

"Sharing economy" once meant something. You'd Uber someone B→C when already driving A→B→C→D; you'd AirBNB your home when vacationing and stay at someone else's home who was doing the same. No driving just for Uber; no houses just for AirBNB. I fear this history will be forgotten.

Job I was hoping for gave me the "we found another applicant" treatment. I don't begrudge them for that, since I know I had a 'less than adequate initial coding interview. But still, it stings and sucks. Hopefully my other interviews yield better results...

Watched the Daily Show bit about AI this week, my wife found the interview with the whistleblower guy really depressing. That interview dramatically undersold that all the sketchy hacking shit that's happening right now is coming from 1 company.
