I needed to process 20,000 json files & 20,000 JXL files. I'm pulling together a website from them all. Anyway, started with emacs elisp to handle it all, just because I've not done that before. Went kinda ok, and I'm gonna use org-mode to export it all to a website (done that bit loads of times before).
In the end, I ended up breaking out my C programming skills (late 80s->nowish). It was a delight. Nothing more refreshing than writing raw code, that doesn't rely on 3rd party code/libs.

#meta tag โ use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the postโs page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag youโll see unless u follow. Iโll try to tag every post I find.signals. thinking about shifting my mental framework to identify signals instead of waiting for concepts to be assembled. exploring the amount of energy and opportunities for distractions through the operations of processing what just happened and what is happening to short circuit latent and unnecessary systems. cut through the assembly processes and identify the raw signals. recognizing that naming these "raw signals" is misleading. maybe, shifting observability lower in the stack.
Sunk cost fallacy is no longer applicable in the age of . Now you can do broad changes without second thought, u can always revert back, without incurring the cost of doing so, since itโs all done so quickly and effortlessly.

i got into the fashion to vibevode some utility apps for myself. i didn't review the code. they work fine. colleagues are interested.
i don't feel comfortable to put such stuff on $Github. have no good consciousness with unreviewed and likely ununderstood (stack I am not really familiar with).
internet is full of people who don't care, I know. i tend to overthink.
what about you?
