Most of programs use key chords, like Cmd-Shift-G, Ctrl-Alt-N and so on, you need to remember and press awkwardly several keys at once. #Emacsnotesfollow uses key sequences, C-c then k then p then l. If I forget after C-c k p then press C-h and help appears.

I had a great run with Mint for years. I was as boring as it gets. I got a new laptop recently and decided to try OpenSUSE Tumbleweed. I am really enjoying it, but it is a bit too recent for me to swear by it.

You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.
