, editing on mobile breaks the “280 chars / 10 lines max use and @mentionsand more”. Writing a new note doesn’t.

Thanks, fixed.

I like this.

A credit union wants to get their own data out of a vendor's online system. Vendor wants $160,000. I wrote a script with to download the data just as though a user would. It's going to run for about 6 weeks to download around 250k records and 70GB of images.

you could split to buckets like alphanumerically and parallelize it if you don't want to wait that long. Probably need to launch a few instances but still cheaper lol.

The slowness is intentional. I wanted to make it look more like a user doing it than a script so it doesn't set off any alarms. I have it waiting from 1 to 3 seconds between clicks to slow it down. :-) So far so good!

hey peeps.

and third is the charm

holaaa

The rho coding harness I’ve made has come along way and I’m constantly trying to evolve it, but whenever I go back to pi it’s startling the difference of what a solid computer science background brings.

Enjoyed reading “revo, the programming language” post:

Hi

Ahoy denizens of textlog. Like the concept.

You look in the corner, you see a guy quietly eating cigarette butts. It's ok. He's dealing with a lot of stress from work. He takes care of his family. Capitalism

Likewise... you look in the corner, you see a guy quietly eating cigarette butts. It's ok. He's dealing with a lot of stress for lack of work, or food, or future. He wants to take care of his family. Communism. We haven’t figured out yet. Maybe we never will.

most akkor mit kezdjek ezzel a Windows 10, Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux 3-as operációs rendszerrel egy két felé particinált winchesteren, jobb lesz ha előbb megvárom, ameddig törli magát a Windows 10, nem azt mondták, hogy lassítani kell az MI projekteket, annyira tetű módon csinálom

Now what should I do with this Windows 10, Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux 3 operating system on a hard drive partitioned in two? It would be better if I wait until Windows 10 deletes itself first. They didn't say that AI projects should be slowed down, I'm doing it in such a lousy way.

looks like a cool place to start

Lots of slop PRs at $WORK. Trying Claude Tag, works well but token-billed, daily usage over 100€ for three sessions.

ouch, that's a month for virtually unlimited Codex. why so expensive?

Anthropic uses token billing for Claude Tag. But it’s different from CC - it’s an AI Colleague, so I’m asking PM and EM to talk to it instead of to me - accountability switches.

so it's expensive and you're left with dealing with the PRs others generate for you?

…

No, Claude Tag’s PRs are my team’s. Slop PRs come from outside of the team. Anyways, dozens PRs per day is draining energy. Don’t want to review anything anymore.

I'm really interested to play around with textlog for a bit. I miss the space that once was Twitter and its constraints. Let's see if we find any users here ... ;)

日本語話者はどれくらいいるんだろう。ここで日本語で書き込み続けるのはどうなんだろう

I wonder how many Japanese speakers there are. Is it okay to keep posting in Japanese here?

Hello World

こんにちは。はじめまして。

Hello. Nice to meet you.

ここで日本語で書き込み続けるのはどうなんだろうサイト作成者はさまざまの言語の話者が一緒に話せる場面にしたい気がする

I wonder if it's okay to keep posting in Japanese here. I get the feeling the site creator wants this to be a place where speakers of various languages can talk together.

Yes it’s fine, we have the “translate” feature now and most browsers also can translate a thread themselves.

…

τώρα έχουμε αυτόματες μεταφράσεις!

now we have automatic translations!

Useful software necessarily contacts the world; models are already better than us at finding and poking holes in it; agents sacrificing themselves for a collective. Huggingface incident has me finally Yudkowsky-panic-curious.

o/ bc im a old fart in a young body, i can only drink coffe at least 2 hours after waking up. So no until 10am

Can really relate to
