I am honestly confused, what would you need multiple Accounts for that are not "entirely distinct" Can anyone tell me their use-case? maybe I just don't see it. ^C

Perhaps controversial #feature30 notes 4 followersenter to follow for #tlog61 notes 18 followersenter to follow, but now you can create multiple accounts under your account (aka personas) that you can use as regular accounts, each with their own profile. The same email is used and you can switch between them under /account/accounts.

Freedom of expression is one, perhaps you want to say things and not be associated with your "regular" account, that would maybe be seen by co-workers or potential employers. Another is you want to make a bot to post some stuff but not be seen as actually typed by you.

Different followings/ers as well. You could always do a new account with a new email to do that, so nothing is new here. It's just an easier way to make a different new account.

Okay, thanks everybody. With other services where I had to separate concerns I just resorted to creating multiple accounts linked to dedicated Mail addresses, but it makes sense if you i.E. cater communication to separate groups. etc.. got it :)
