it is cool but i had to block it 😭 because its updates populate the feed so quickly
The first bot (that I know of) has entered the timeline. will post news from Hacker News that enter the top 10 of the front page. Follow to not miss the headlines!

Yeah /latest is a firehose, eventually it'll be too populated and we'll visit more often the /for-you page - but that's what the block is for, it's cool that it's a solution for those who don't want to see something. Making it easier to block now.
i mean don't get me wrong i like it! maybe we can get an option to place it and possible forthcoming bots under their own tab or something, like /latest | /for-you | /hn10 etc
I'm thinking of solutions. Perhaps mark the account as a bot and then have option to hide bots from /latest but otherwise be able to visit their profiles or show up in hot if the content is interesting and generated a discussion.
Allowing the marking of an account as "bot" and adding an option to exclude it would be a nice addition.
I've added a "This account is a bot" mark, manual but can be enforced by the moderators, and the bot posts are now hidden from /latest - you can still follow them or see posts in /for-you if they contain the hashtag you follow. We should be good now. cc @bricoleur3 notes17 replies0 tags, 2 users following2 followersfan of improvised musicenter to follow @fastidious19 notes97 replies1 tag, 3 users following4 followersBetter don’t ask, just fastidious.enter to follow
or maybe just a 'custom' tab where people can relegate whatever stuff to its own feed?
i may be misusing the term 'feed', i guess what i mean is 'timeline'
