Oh, sorry didn't mean to mislead anyone, it was a hyperbolic short essay on productivity vs sleep, I am merely writing here as a daily exercise to improve my english writing skills.

Not enough for my goal apparently! Which is to find a job in an english speaking setting. I've been ghosted by many recruiters. Orally, I don't project confidence, I stutter a lot and have difficulty finding my words at times. Saw textlog as an opportunity to work on it :)

Same here, my writing is good but orally I still do a lot of uhms. It does not sound good but I'm trying to improve.

felt, i feel like this too often. fwiw, i've realised that it's less of a communication skill issue and more of a confidence issue impairing my communication.

I am pretty sure confience is what is at work in my case. Did you try something specific to improve in that regard?

[1/2] accepting that communication clarity is a spectrum where language skill isn't the only variable. it's influenced by dialect, accent, colloquialism usage, etc., & having to repeat myself to someone occasionally doesn't imply a skill issue at either end of the conversation

[2/2] e.g, english is my first language, but my accent and pronounciation are wildly different from what western speakers are used to, so there's a happy medium of minimal adjustments i make in conversation with them, i'm okay with clearly conveying the essence of the discussion

That said, in Canada working class started loosing life expentancy for the 3rd year in a row, and WHO figures show a decline in improvement of life expentancy globally. But hey, I am just a no-one on the internet spewing bs :)

a decline in the improvement of life expectancy isn't the same as a decline in life expectancy, it's just that it's improving less fast now, we might be reaching biological limits however?

We tought for years that there was a biological ceiling for sprinters or marathon runners for example, with research backing it, but every one record was shattered. I tend to be cautious of biological explanations.
