..and resurrect old discussions, which is my thinking around that.

I’ve given a lot of thought about that. My thinking was to keep some older nice posts a bit more alive to keep the discussion going. And it works to a percentage. But as it is now with the new conversation views it overlaps a lot with “latest” as the active conversations get bumped to the top anyway, so the current “hot” topics are in latest’s first page naturally. So I might refactor the algorithm a bit to favor top level posts. I think it’s worth it, new users especially discover posts there..

There's no plus button(!) but yes to that. The random tab is in the same spirit I guess. I really appreciate what you're doing here.

Here's a wild thought -- what if -- instead of random textlogs, it would be a variation of to re-engage you with conversations you're part of. You could dial up or down the frequency to revisit and review, based on your current interests. Writing suggests engagement and interest, and you could continue to move in and out over time at your pace.

Furthermore, writing again to your surfaced spaced repetition would, as a side-effect, bubble up to the all & potentially hot feeds making new content visible to others. It's not a fully shaped or realized concept. Just dreaming up other ideas.
