Anybody here using mastodon regularly? What instance are you on? I can't decide on where to register 😅

I'm using mastodon.social but i think you can look the instances in their site and decide by interest.

There's a really good one run by someone in the Netherlands. He forked the software and made a ton of improvements. I was on there six years ago. I wish I could remember the name.

Ah! Qoto.org! It looks like it might be gone now though :/

mastodon.social/@pauladamsmas

…

I decided to use mstdn.social/@zbr - I like that’s it’s not too crowded and has a 500 word limit.

, will it possible, on mobile, to be able to tap on “cards”. That is, make the posts area “tapable”.

Great idea, implemented here! Thanks for the suggestion.

This is very welcome! I don't know how many times I had already tapped posts to go to the comment chain, just to realize that wasn't the place ^_^

What's happening

Hi I came back after a few weeks, it seems there were some significant updates. Is it possible to set the first click to open the note instead of reply? Anyhow, good work, hope more people join here

Also, the "write a note" button on the footer seems not working

I'm really interested to play around with textlog for a bit. I miss the space that once was Twitter and its constraints. Let's see if we find any users here ... ;)

Another day missing Aaron Swartz.

…

Still running but already look deceptive. Fck that

Nothing works ffs

such a real thread. godspeed

I really love the feeling of a new social network app! Takes me back to high school when I first used facebook. Somehow makes it easy to share things.

a Windows 11 újabb meglepetése: amellett, hogy a kezelőfelülete sokkal gányabb, mint a Windows 10-é, állítólag most 10 napot kellene várnom addig, ameddig az előző rendszer törli magát a gépről

Another surprise from Windows 11: in addition to the fact that its interface is much more annoying than Windows 10's, I now supposedly have to wait 10 days for the previous system to delete itself from the computer

Hello world?

I’m using textlog to explore the intersection of and tech, with the goal of building an app that solves a problem in this space. Named , it's word represented as a hex color. Of all the words there, it is a cocoa-ish color and is an appropriate name for this idea.

I'm employed again. Once again through someone I know and not through LinkedIn. Still not feeling productive and comfortable.

After a decent break, cannot not notice how much of my time I have to sell for a "traditional" job.

Spent months pair-building a full telecom BSS with an AI. The surprise wasn't the code — it was that the real job became verification. The AI read 450 tokens for every 1 it wrote. Turns out building honestly is mostly re-reading.
