Quebec City is pretty amazing. Excellent food, tons to see and do, surrounded by nature, mountains, islands. My kind of place.

Do you live there or are just visiting? I remember feeling so at home there as a kid. I never kept my French up so I don't think I could ever move there.

Visiting, for the first time. It's about a 9 hour drive from home so we've never made the trip, but so worth it. Went to Ile d'Orleans yesterday, just... so quiet and beautiful. Seems a bit of a paradise, haven't even made it up to the natl park(s) yet. My French is coming back a little each day, made it all the way through the coffee order just now :)

being a student is great but the tasks are really quite boring. ive worked in academia now a little bit and its genuinely much more fun to work on something real, read papers, do experiments and write. Unfortunately no. Just starting it. Got the proof of concept loading a dir with its sub-dirs then rendering on the GPU in textures silky smooth. 1.7mb executable, but will need to level up to SDL and that will double the size I think.

I agree. It is #zilchnotesfollow for now. Will do better next time, but in my defence the text above the text box (when writing a new message, not a reply) says โ€œWhatโ€™s on your mindโ€. :-P

New in agenttop.dev : panels open in your #multiplexernotesfollow. ๐Ÿคนโ€โ™‚๏ธ โ€ข Any panel can now split into its own pane, live, beside the #agentsnotesfollow table. โ€ข Works with all the popular multiplexers: #๐˜๐—บ๐˜‚๐˜…notesfollow, #๐˜‡๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ถ๐—ทnotesfollow, #๐—ช๐—ฒ๐˜‡๐—ง๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—บnotesfollow ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜๐˜†. โ€ข run a panel on its own: agent-top mcp, agent-top slow, agent-top fails, agent-top advice. โž• The # MCP panel also lists the orphaned MCP processes that outlived their agent and are still eating memory.

Arch Linux with KDE. I like that Arch comes with nothing and is pretty vanilla. No bloat, and customisable. No major upgrades where 5 things break at once. Install once, and it's fine until the device has to be replaced. Only then usually do a fresh install. It's up to date, still pretty boring, and you learn a bit in the process.

i distro hoped a lot. Finally i found my cozy home with debian with kde. 3 years still running without a problem all the software i use works perfectly and the games run smoothly.

Arch with i3, have been using it for like 7-8 years now. Started out at elementary os, really good and everything, but the thing where I dont need to install *-dev libs separately saves me a lot of time during compilations and building. Also, AUR is a life saver at times.

How do you define #AInotesfollow slop in relation to #codingnotesfollow? For me, it is how quickly you get to an unmaintainable state- the acceleration into something that becomes difficult to work. I talk more about it here: hellodavid.dev/blog/slop #Softwarenotesfollow #Developmentnotesfollow
Not that I think we're close to a canonical definition (as if we'll ever all agree on one) but my team has defacto adopted the definition of code that the developer responsible for it doesn't understand, approve of and essentially has now honestly reviewed. Basically anything which leads to cognitive debt.
I agree, I don't think that there will ever be one canonical definition, but I like this definition as well, as it places the onus on the actual person creating the slop. Thank you for sharing!
