So annoyed that reddit is gating read-access to it's threads. What's up with that??
It's cute because you have to put it in a sandbox right away (Virtualbox is a sandbox) so it doesn't mess up everything on the machine or the server or anywhere else, but these AI chatbots are basically peaceful little animals, right?

You've hit the nail on the head. But here's the mindblowing partโ€”writing isn't just about text on a page. It's not about listing a bunch of facts to memorize. Writing is about human connection. And here's where it gets even more fascinating... [parody, not AI]
๐Ÿคชprofilefollowreplied toprofilefollowlate is the hour in which this conjuror chooses to appear:
Some writing yes, If you want to write a post saying why your company has a position yes; if you are documenting an API, does the average swagger page have a human connection factor? If you are in X/FB, is any of your followers a "human connection"?
Then, in some spaces, say big corp communications, the terse, direct communication is desired, for example the quarter earning communication? What about software?, what part of your browser gives you the "human connection"?
profilefollowlate is the hour in which this conjuror chooses to appearreplied to๐Ÿคชprofilefollow:
If writing (incl X/FB posts) is meant to convey "some human being did/saw/thought this and found it worth writing about", then AI undermines human connection and will annoy people. API docs, earnings reports, &c never conveyed that to begin with, so nobody will care about AI use.
Frustrated with my phone usage again tonight, I uninstalled several pointless and time-consuming apps. Itโ€™s a cycle I repeat every few months. During this cycle, I wasted a lot of time on one of those puzzle-matching games. I'm considering switching to Ubuntu Touch at this point
WezTerm for local and remote multiplexing really is the ideal experience - it's so much better than using zellij, tmux, zmx, and friends.. I don't think they pitch this feature hard enough on their site. I think the in-terminal multiplexers have their place - e.g. if you need to access from mobile (no WezTerm there) or on machines where you simply don't want to install WezTerm for some reason. WezTermrm could probably eliminate that last one by packaging just the mux server.

For 30 years, productivity skyrocketed through automation, yet longevity plummeted as a direct result of sleep deprivation. While these gains accrue to the owner class, sleep remains an undervalued element of the worker's health. We are trading life expectancy for chump change.

That said, in Canada working class started loosing life expentancy for the 3rd year in a row, and WHO figures show a decline in improvement of life expentancy globally. But hey, I am just a no-one on the internet spewing bs :)
