I needed to process 20,000 json files & 20,000 JXL files. I'm pulling together a website from them all. Anyway, started with emacs elisp to handle it all, just because I've not done that before. Went kinda ok, and I'm gonna use org-mode to export it all to a website (done that bit loads of times before).
In the end, I ended up breaking out my C programming skills (late 80s->nowish). It was a delight. Nothing more refreshing than writing raw code, that doesn't rely on 3rd party code/libs.

#meta tag โ use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the postโs page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag youโll see unless u follow. Iโll try to tag every post I find.a kis laptopnak pedig nincs elรฉg memรณriรกja, szรณval ezt a fลterminรกlt eredetileg programozรกsra vettem, azt nem tudom mรกr, mit akartam programozni vele, de pont รบgy zรบg, mint egy adatkรถzpont, รฉs hogyha egy kicsit korszerลฑsรญtem, a Gemma 4 LLM รฉppen visรญtva el fog tudni futni rajta
and the little laptop doesn't have enough memory, so I originally bought this main terminal for programming, I don't know what I wanted to program with it anymore, but it hums like a data center, and if I upgrade it a little, the Gemma 4 LLM will be able to run on it screaming

what?
I still don't get how now after AI coding there's people saying that contrary to common belief code wasn't a bottleneck and I realized that when I was starting to code at 10yrs ago when I was 15 and read it in a stackoverflow comment. I thought that was the common belief and still can't believe a lot of supposed senior programmers apparently believed so.
