Do you code in silence or do you listen to music? If so, what kind of music do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Synthwave, vaporwave or the occasional country.

I have hallucinate.site playing all day. It has about 1100+ live 1-hour sets from #HÖR_Berlin1 note0 followersenter to follow playing randomly, when I don't like a set I change it but most of the time it's fine. It's #techno3 notes2 followersenter to follow.

Techno (and metal) coders are a special lot. I can't fathom trying to focus to that kind of intensity. But I know you're not alone, but I sure can't understand it ^_^

Vim’s friction imho goes in the wrong way. Today I wanted to put slack thread link and give it pretty title “channel time”, it encodes both. 5 minutes later I press C-. s while point on the url and it’s done. Vim will never be able to do that.

i don't do any coding but i do spend a lot of time on the computer and have music going constantly, mostly free improvisation and free jazz, also some 'experimental' internet radio stations and some plain old classical stuff. my preference is for instrumental music without vocals

well i say 'free jazz' which is a genre i do love but really most of what i listen to these days is not any kind of jazz at all - although it is generally played with 'jazz' instruments. not exactly chill and comfy though, in fact often quite the opposite!

When I do listen to music, it has to be no vocals. I find #SpaceMusic1 note0 followersenter to follow, like Jonn Serrie, Brian Eno, and Steve Roach best for me.
