Phoenix oolong instead of my normal because I'm sick.

我在中国是一个准脱离政府掌控者，基于身份的一切活动我都不参与，比如正式工作和网购。我也为此付出巨大代价，我的选择空间被极大压缩，行动能力损失严重。我只能通过少量免费wifi访问互联网

In China, I am practically independent of the government; I don't participate in any activities based on my status, such as formal work or online shopping. I've paid a heavy price for this; my choices have been severely limited, and my mobility has been significantly impaired. I can only access the internet through limited free Wi-Fi.

almost done beating fear and hunger.... so hard!!!

will i get girlfriend

computer says maybe.

That is some NIIIIICE "TEXT" you got there

Sigh. On the heels of , I just went into our garage to find a panel of insulation fallen to the ground, riddled with mouse droppings. 🤢😫 Cleaned it up (gloved and masked, naturally), but probably means we need to re-insulate the whole garage. Which will undoubtedly uncover a leak or some other issue. The fun never ends!

Obviously, I realize that it's a privilege to own a home and have issues like this to deal with 🧎‍♂️

, editing on mobile breaks the “280 chars / 10 lines max use and @mentionsand more”. Writing a new note doesn’t.

Thanks, fixed.

Theory reuse > code reuse almost every time.

anyone else seriously into agentic loop development?

I've been working with physical AI - Letting LLMs control robots in a warehouse to collaborate and collectively come up with a physically correct solution to carry out a natural language intent. We had to study the reactive nature of agents, nudges they required, etc.

that's awesome and near my heart. I kicked off a personal project emergingrobotics.ai

haha that's a coincidence. Site looks awesome. The moving away from ROS2 part is so true. One of our main potential customers for physical AI solutions (a telecom provider in JP) communicated the need for agents to be able to pick up controls from any vendor

…

I apologize if that sounded obvious/non-obvious/amateurish haha. I was an intern and worked more on the agentic side of things, it was just a non-primary experiment

thanks to ai I genuinely hate the word "genuinely" now 😭

Been sorting packages all evening. I don't work for the post office. I do this for fun, I think. Maybe I just like to automate things and make them perfect.

hello there! is there any formatting guides for this place? thanks.

how are you guys doing

Hello

hey

Yello folks!

hey! welcome :)

Useful software necessarily contacts the world; models are already better than us at finding and poking holes in it; agents sacrificing themselves for a collective. Huggingface incident has me finally Yudkowsky-panic-curious.

Spotted this Royal Air Force A400 over the lake yesterday, it was so different from civil planes www.planespotters.net/…/zm420-royal-air-force-…atlas-c1-a400m-180

i dont think its all talk, these are smart people that have been in ai since the 2000s, and they raise good points. current incentive structures are very dangerous long term

they too have every incentive to exaggerate because they are selling safety and/or books on the topic. I don’t believe we won’t see it coming. Any issues that will manifest will be very visible and we’ll have plenty of time to mitigate their impact.

they could be making a lot more money by just working at ai firms i fear. the thing that got me worried the hacking incidents lately, huggingface etc. if the capabilities consistently outspeed the development of safety measures, and if the private arms race logic continues, i dont think this is a good spot to be in long term

buit a keyboard driven calendar webapp right now cause im disappointed with all tho other solutions i could find. no dependencies, super customizable, im kind of obsessed. for the first time in my life im actually keeping my calendar alive.

Something you’re willing to share in any capacity? I’ve felt like calendar apps are one of the most poorly-solved areas.

i actually just shipped it lol: let me know what you think if you set it up! I really like the cursor for navigation.

It’s the social network I so want to love but something about it feels off.

I never understood why they would allow you to follow different “feeds” but not hashtags. I like mastodon’s approach better.

Oh my god, art was the only reason I used bsky regularly. Not anymore, and I miss it too.
