Opened up signups and postedLinkedInMain ยท A quiet, well-organized record of everything that keeps your home running. | Evan MeagherI'm excited to share something I'm working on with Eric Noggle: https://getonmain.com For most people, a home is the most valuable asset that they own. And yet, homes remain chronically under-managed. Cars have service records. Portfolios have dashboards. Homes have a junk drawer full of manuals and receipts. This leads to problems that degrade a home's value over time. Deferred maintenance snowballs from small issues to emergency repairs costing thousands. And the effort you *do* put into your about Maingetonmain.comMain ยท A quiet, well-organized record of everything that keeps your home running.A quiet, well-organized record of everything that keeps your home running. on LinkedIn yesterday. When I read about #autismnotesfollow in reputable #booksnotesfollow, I relate to almost everything that is described (keeping in mind that no two autistic people are alike). However, I always read the sections on #eyeContactnotesfollow with bewilderment. I don't identify either with the obsessive need to make eye contact, which UK and US books often mention as #neurotypicalnotesfollow behavior, or with the difficulties in making it. #Neurodiversitynotesfollow #Psychologynotesfollow #Autismnotesfollow
I suspectโ€”and this is the interesting partโ€”that there are significant cultural differences in this regard. In fact, the reputable Spanish books on autism that I have read don't address this topic (if I remember correctly).

Definitely people here do intense full locked eye contact, which I canโ€™t do, unless Iโ€™m attracted to the person as I said. Even then Iโ€™ll move a bit around the face because itโ€™s uncomfortable even then. But others just lock in completely I see them doing it.
OK. I guess that Greece may be similar to Spain. I feel comfortable hanging with greeks, in Greece and elswhere. Then, if I don't look at the eyes, but others do. I guess that I'm very good at masking that I don't look at the eyes. I never got a comment related to eye contact.
I donโ€™t think itโ€™s something people notice immediately and consciously think this is wrong to make a comment, they will probably just not feel the same connection or feel something is off about you in general or think that youโ€™re busy thinking other things. Itโ€™s not the only case to not make eye contact with someone, you might just not like them. Thatโ€™s probably what they will sense.
Bad people are working together to enrich themselves and slave others into rat races. Good people need to start working together too.

Good people are always more, if more affraid of things. Bad people, unfortunately, is more willing to make harm, hence why they keep the upper hand. To support eachother is the minimum we need to move forward, and so long this doesn't happen things will remain the same. A revolution, as they say, doesn't happen with a single person, we need the mayority to join.

"we need the majority to join" - this is a very interesting point; actually we only need 3,5% ๐Ÿ‘Œ Erica Chenoweth from Harvard found this from their research with Maria J. Whatโ€™s the difference between a script-kiddy and a real #developernotesfollow? Abstraction. You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. Iโ€™m not talking about design patterns or #OOPnotesfollow vs #FPnotesfollow. These tools can help. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.
