I'm going to attempt to build a take on a board game I loved, from 1989, MBT, by Avalon Hill.
Watch me face plant.
Starting by trying to understand hex math.
A credit union wants to get their own data out of a vendor's online system. Vendor wants $160,000. I wrote a #pythonnotesfollow script with #Playwrightnotesfollow to download the data just as though a user would. It's going to run for about 6 weeks to download around 250k records and 70GB of images.
you could split to buckets like alphanumerically and parallelize it if you don't want to wait that long. Probably need to launch a few instances but still cheaper lol.
The slowness is intentional. I wanted to make it look more like a user doing it than a script so it doesn't set off any alarms. I have it waiting from 1 to 3 seconds between clicks to slow it down. :-) So far so good!
Yea, aside from the money, sourcing is a big problem, one thing I noticed when trying to #vegannotesfollow at some point was that there are zero vegan snacks in ordinary neighbourhood stores, so that #experimentnotesfollow didn’t last very long.
Ordered JBL Charge 6, waiting for delivery today. Will mount into my bike and will listen to music while commuting 25km to the office. I'm a victim of marketing, seeing an ad, buying stuff.
Previously bought Do Nothing Club cap after friends visiting us and we discussed it while eating pizza; and then my wife got an AD on Instagram. Meta is listening for conversations to sell ads.
I have something that usually builds, tests, and deploys under five minutes. It has been over two hours and forty eight minutes and it is still going on today... 🫣
Is there a terminal app for viewing textlog?? Kind of hate browsers.

How can I change an organisation with hundreds of frustrated employees, when I can’t change my own life with only one person.
Does a different person run a company and a different person live their life? I doubt it.
I think so, actually.
My wife runs my household, I run my engineering org.
As I get older I do see the two aspects of my personality start to merge but they are still divergent and were much moreso in my earlier years.
and to be clear, I don't mean that I offload all the work to her by any stretch. It's just that I'm much more outspoken and opinionated on the specifics of work life versus home life.
Anthropic uses token billing for Claude Tag. But it’s different from CC - it’s an AI Colleague, so I’m asking PM and EM to talk to it instead of to me - accountability switches.
No, Claude Tag’s PRs are my team’s. Slop PRs come from outside of the team.
Anyways, dozens PRs per day is draining energy. Don’t want to review anything anymore.
