i think id love to do something along the lines of (physical) product design im currently a software engineer. ive been into keyboards for a while and designed a good number. few things are as satisfying as taking an idea from something on paper or in my head to a shiny, pretty thing to play with

I direct a plan, then break it into phases, and each phase into sections with tasks and sub-tasks. The plan outlines all phases, but only write tasks one phase at a time, since things change. #opinionnotesfollow That's how I've been working with #ainotesfollow for the past few months to a year. What is the exact definition of an IDE? JetBrain's products are as good as ever, in my opinion, but people have definitely made non-IDEs into big, hulking behemoths with tons of plugins. If anything, maybe "just an editor" is dead?

I think they mean the transition that all IDE's are making towards an agentic interface, hiding the code completely as humans will not have to interact with it since the AI will be doing a better job at everything, even auditing it.
