The best Mcp server I have as Claude Connector is Emacs running on my Homeserver. It has one tool - eval-elisp. Using it Claude can do almost anything. My top 1 pinned chat is โ€œRun agent-start-claude-code using HotterEmacs in dir โ€ฆโ€ - after that I have a ready to use remote-controlled session running on my homeserver.

To load a skill I literally type - โ€œload (โ—Šdoc 'slack) and browse channel X for todayโ€. The idea is my text stays English but repeating concepts are real reusable elisp functions that stay fully deterministic. (โ—Šdoc 'agent) and Claude knows how to talk to open code and pi agents.

I need to re wire my brain a bit. Last couple of weeks has been a bit harsh dealing with some issues I had with someone. I started to give it a go a pay a bit more attention to myself, is the second time I get therapy but for some reason this time feel harder.

'wade in the water.' isn't this the challenge of being 'ahead'? so many of us are waist deep in the same sea, it's hard to see what's in front of us vs. what's behind us. then we see the yacht boys sail by with their new masters, splashing us in their wake. then we grumble amongs

Made barbecue this evening. Lamb and chicken for meat, pepper and zucchini for veggies. Yummy! Kids loved it, the boy's sleeping now, the girl is reading a book, the wife's out with her girls, I'm with wine. Life's good.
I truly love the experience of using apps with rich, deeply interactive, beautifully animated, gorgeous user interfaces. Then I see a beautiful text-based interface and something about it feels so natural, so inevitable, so perfectly clear, and I'm instantly captivated by its simplicity and clarity. Hypertext is fascinating.

People post projects/tools/repos on lobsters all the time. From the about page, "as a rule of thumb, self-promo should be less than a quarter of one's stories and comments."

well, one should be Windows 11, the other Windows 10, just for scientific curiosity, in theory Windows 10 can still last this year without any serious problems

I never have enough time but Iโ€™d love to do a bit more recreational programming with esoterical languages like kitten, #uiuanotesfollow, and #jqnotesfollow. AoC and Project Euler are good because they just require an answer but thereโ€™s also loads of simple puzzles online that rely on being able to submit the code in common languages. Iโ€™ve been wondering, however, if I could use an LLM to take those problems and create a verification harness for any language I like.
