Last year I wasn't feeling too good. I turned forty, waited for surgery, and was hurt by my own colleagues. So I dealt with things. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability. One of the consequences was that I got a bit heavy. My body changed, and I didn't feel like myself. It was a problem for future me. So now I am here with this little belly of mine. We're not enemies, but I decided it's time to part ways. So I count calories. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability.

Thank you! Almost back to baseline now, after a few months. trigger warning, eating disorders: I sometimes forget to log what I eat in my app of course, but what is perhaps slightly nore disturbing is the fact that I sometimes log stuff and then forget to actually eat them. Some sort of Baudrillardian simulacrum of eating.

A lot of people write so much software to sandbox their AI agents. I say don't bother. Just give your agent its own non-admin local user account. It's easier and much more effective.

With deep respect we remember King Harald of Norway who passed away in the early hours of this morning. May his memory rest in peace. I surprised my self this morning. I was looking for some content on YouTube with Mario (pi) and saw something that was 2 months old. First reaction was โ€œthat is too old.โ€ I used to take my time, slow it down and have time for thoughts. Is this whatโ€™s happen to you when consume too much?

yes. everything goes so fast nowadays that we don't stop to appreciate stuff that happened the last month, two months, a year, 5 years ago.

With the recent speed of all the AI stuff 2 months is old but the whole thing has gotten exhausting at this point.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

ai coding feels like it has reached diminishing returns for me. luna is my default orchestrator, routing work by complexity. in practice, usage lands around 16% luna, 48% sol, 30% astra, and 6% terra. at this point, i care less about each new frontier release. the system already finds a capable model for the job. the frontier is moving beyond my day-to-day work, so iโ€™m happy to settle into predictable models for a while. #ainotesfollow #programmingnotesfollow #agentnotesfollow #technotesfollow

Iโ€™ve found the same, albeit with Opus โ€” itโ€™s hard to find uses for Fable. I donโ€™t need a model that works for longer or works on harder problems, I need one that consistently produces simple, easy to understand, code; which at this point none of them do.

I've been there since I settled on a combination of GLM, DeepSeek and MiMo for planning, implementation, and verification flows. I'm a lot more interested at this point in having cheaper models that can consistently do the work I need. It's been a while that I hanven't noticed any improvement when I try new frontier models. I only notice they are very expensive.

same here, for almost an year. At this point, I could easily live with models that were released 6-12 months ago and continue doing so. also possibly the reason why the current focus has been around agentic workflows or agentic anything, than the model capabilities.

Coding probably yeah, but still they are bad at generating novel information, new ideas and such. Theyโ€™re also not very good at seeing the bigger picture, they will narrowly perform the task but theyโ€™re not taking into account future revisions, which ends up in refactor after refactor in order to move forward.

Not insane at all. People should build their own instead of using other people's agents. It's easy to do and the results can be great for you. I've built several; one that is effectively "stuck" in Kakoune: youtube.com/โ€ฆ/playlistYouTubeLLMs stuck in Kakoune
