I love the "feel" of this place. It's minimal, but not too minimal. Nice work! I'm probably gonna be a little chatty on here. If anyone minds that, then just @ me :-) #launchnotesfollow

Also, thank you for not turning my emoticons into emoji!! As someone from the pre-internet era, I appreciate that :-)

Whatโ€™s the difference between a script-kiddy and a real #developernotesfollow? Abstraction. You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. Iโ€™m not talking about design patterns or #OOPnotesfollow vs #FPnotesfollow. These tools can help. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.
Choice is definitely a problem. We notice it when we go to our cabin, about a 2 1/2 hour drive away. The grocery store there targets #foodnotesfollow for its local community. It is beef-centric and often boxed foods -- which is not our diet. Access -- or lack thereof -- is the worst kind of problem. i think the best you can get right now is qwen 3.8 27B. youre gonna need 24 gigs of some fast memory though, i heard theres decent quantizations that can also make it run on 16. im quite excited about open/local models, but theres big investment overhead with the prices right now

You might be able to try out colibri, its quite good and the models are a bit better. I am unable to connect any of the cli agents to do things with it though, probably due to context limits, but try it out. OlMoe is the lightest

#Duckynotesfollow OK-M? I have the previous #versionnotesfollow, 65%, and am very happy with it. I think itโ€™s available both in quiet and noisy #versions (but the two I have are clicketyclicky). ducky ok-m #Keyboardnotesfollow #Technotesfollow

this is mainly a problem of switches. get a keyboard formfactor you like with a good body and replacable switches. thatll be the only keyboard you need for the rest of your life. if you want to change things up, buy new switches and caps. i personally use Outemu Silent Lime V3 Silent Tactile switches from aliexpress, and highly recommend them as they are cheap, feel awesome and are very quiet

I really enjoy low-profile keyboards for this very reason. Depending on your system of course, but the most silent keyboard I've used (and still use) is the Mac Magic Keyboard. But most low profile ones are in my experience pretty quiet.

i dont mind the waits, cause ive been really liking the theorizing part of it too, cause the community is super active in between chapters and theres soo much lore and thematic connections to dicuss.
