Whatโ€™s the difference between a script-kiddy and a real #developernotesfollow? Abstraction. You can program your whole life without learning how to meaningfully abstract problems into simpler pieces that TRULY make the problem easier to understand. Iโ€™m not talking about design patterns or #OOPnotesfollow vs #FPnotesfollow. These tools can help. But to really simplify something for others, you need an intellectual empathy that many simply never figure out.

Nourish your heaf with creative thoughts and originality will happen on it's own. And don't be too hard on yourself, there's hardly anything new under the sun, the joy is in discovering things yourself :)

I empathize, we've had that happen within the last year too, even the same bathroom-over-kitchen floor plan. And the extra test of patience: the kiddos don't have the skills to properly clean and sanitize that kind of mess.
love the way you packaged this. liquids damage sucks, its uniquely traumatizing

What do you think about making the โ€œto meโ€ similar to โ€œfor youโ€, โ€œlatestโ€, and โ€œhotโ€, when it comes to font size, and the underline effect?

No because it's not a tab, it's a filter for the 'for you' tab. If we were to make it a tab it would have to be a different feed from the 'for you', but they overlap. I think it's ok distinct as it is.

Deterministic code generation is fine by me. Quite happy to use templating systems for example. Problems occur when randomness is introduced. If you can avoid that it should be less "icky".
Went to a store yesterday, ๐Ÿค this close to buy a Delonghi Dedica but when I touched it, it felt so so rattly and cheap and it instantly turned me off. there's no fundamental physical limit that prevents silicon from developing taste and judgement, but language is a lossy compression of reality. taste comes from experience, from the shadowy mass of episodic memory, which swirls and convects at the boundary of consciousness. the ideas recombine into new ones in the nuclear reactor of the hippocampus. but no matter how imbued with meaning and expertise is a handmade wardrobe we still get our shit from ikea

Still in Quebec City, which has a pretty sizable street population once you come down from the hill where the tour groups go. We had to basically step over some guys sharing a glass pipe on the only stairs up the hill yesterday; I have teenagers so this bothered me. Later, my youngest and I were talking and he says "why don't the police do something about that?"
He's showing me the first season of Mob Psycho, so I say You know how Mob's little brother Ritsu wants to clean up the school so there are no people who will bully Mob, and so he allies with the power hungry student council president and frames all the bullies to get them expelled and the whole situation eventually becomes really corrupt and authoritarian and Ritsu feels to blame even though he started out with good intentions? Life is really like that...
And so my guess is that Quebec is in the portion of the cycle that's reacting to harsh and unfair policing of the past. Someday a mayoral candidate will get elected on the promise of cleaning it all up and the cycle will begin again. Anyway Mob Psycho is a good show.
it's unfortunate these kinds of obvious non-starters for a functional society can only ever be discussed on both extremes of the political spectrum. It shouldn't be a question that degeneracy has no place in public settings.
