Brikka. Someone on HN mentioned it as great design. I looked it up and bought it after a while. It's been such a delight. Even the occasional brew gone wrong adds to the experience. v60 is also nice when I need it to slow down or be the experience a bit meditative. But Chinese tea is the best for that.

i just get lazier and lazier over time. now it is a portafilter espresso machine, DeLonghi Dedicated, along with a separate grinder, Baratza Encore. what I love is try out regional types of coffee, but this then always outside, and on travels.

Funny, I was gonna say Anathem as well. I've read it multiple times and I keep thinking back to it as it increasingly becomes harder to unplug from tech in daily life.

I am in the middle of my yearly reread and with the way things are going I am tempted to become an avout.

Iโ€™ve had quite the successful day cooking today: make a Dutch baby for breakfast with blueberries, a bean stew for lunch using up all the weekโ€™s odds and ends, make a coffee and walnut cake, and barbecued/slightly smoked a whole spatchcocked chicken for the first time!

me too, but at the same time i'm enjoying getting things done, otherwise i would get lost in details like bikeshedding naming variables and making the code look pretty, and little would be done.

you can try GeyserMC, you can get it on a custom server and as far as I know you can also use it on Aternos. I've used it a few times on private servers, works pretty well

but according to experience, the fatigue of the user interface will sooner or later lead to the fatigue and then the slowdown of the system itself. I think in 1-2 years (when no one will remember it anymore), they will bring back the Windows 10 user interface as a revolutionary innovation under the name Windows 12.

Added #meta tag โ€” use it whenever you want to talk about the site itself, and these posts will not show up in all, any or the postโ€™s page. Only those that follow the tag or the person will see these posts in my feed or in post pages. This is to keep the site clear of meta discussions which dominated a lot at this early stage and I think were annoying to many people. So this is the last meta without the #meta tag youโ€™ll see unless u follow. Iโ€™ll try to tag every post I find.
