Been working on an old mastodon hosting project I tried to start a few years ago, with a focus on privacy. This is the first big project I've tried to come back to with the help of coding agents and find it invigorating, and gives me the confidence to actually finish the project. Who knows if it will ever make a dollar, but it sure is fun to watch my ideas come to life.

Which will undoubtedly uncover a leak or some other issue. The fun never ends!

This may become a thing. Have you seen the results of PISA? School performance is going down in the OCDE and richer students are going down faster (they have more tech available). Maybe the future si for those who ditch the computers.

I use GoalCodeberg.orggoalGoal, an embeddable scripting array language., extended with ariGitHubGitHub - semperos/ari: Ari: Goal language extended with SQL and moreAri: Goal language extended with SQL and more. Contribute to semperos/ari development by creating an account on GitHub. as my daily driver. Since it's implemented in Go, it's straightforward to extend with anything from Go's standard library (or third-party ecosystem) that isn't already incorporated. If you haven't used an array language before, then you get the added bonus of learning a ton about an interesting, powerful area of programming.

I sometimes use V scriptGitHubv/doc/docs.md at master ยท vlang/vSimple, fast, safe, compiled language for developing maintainable software. Compiles itself in <1s with zero library dependencies. Supports automatic C => V translation. https://vlang.io - vl..., but I use V-lang as well. It is kind-of interpreted. Iโ€™ve never heard of rye. Looks nice.

It does not, but fakes it well, since it is fast and compares built binary with script mtime to automatically recompile. The downside of using it is that you end up with a binary, but the upside is that it is blazing fast.

I loved the book and Iโ€™m always fearful when a movie script is developed and a movie produced, so my relief after I saw the movie was immense. I too feel theyโ€™ve cut-out some bits, but the main thing that a book almost always takes my breath away with is fueling my imagination. A movie would (possibly) never nail that aspect.
@sicilicaprofilefollowreplied to@lemonthymeshortbreadprofilefollowI carved wooden spoons and my favourite herb is lemon thyme.:
I just watched it as well. It was fun. There were a number of things that I felt weren't explained well and broke my suspension of disbelief; I haven't read the book, but I found myself really curious whether the book takes the time to justify things more. Obviously, the movie has a lot of pressure to rush to the next "big moment".

If thereโ€™s one thing Andy Weir canโ€™t be critiqued on then itโ€™s not fully justifying all of the science. I think the film on the other hand can be hard to follow for someone who has neither read the book nor has a scientific background. Itโ€™s just hard to monologue about gravitational forces and relativistic speeds on screen.

Judgement, taste and quality were always precious skills. A lot of the professional content I see feels like most Netflix series. They have all the elements - but the overall experience is still meh. Quality is still hard to achieve.
