I feel icky about code generation (as in writing software to generate code).
Any conversation
been building a voice first os using jev and some small voice models. I'm surprised how well it's working and I'm very close to the point where I can go into a feedback mode and tell it what behavior I want changed, it will spin up Claude or codex inside itself and setup the build to restart itself and continue with new code. tempted to let it build itself completely
I've linked up my blog (jeff-mitchell.dev) to
textlog. I hope to use the two things together now to build a bit more of a writing habit. The 500 character increase is nice, room to breath but not an essay. Gotta build the muscles slowly :)Developed a Vinboard (my pinboard.in clone) shortcut, works really well. On iOS it lives in Share menu, on macOS in the Dock. Click sends the current browser page (Safari, Chrome, Zed, Firefox) for bookmarking. On the server side Jev decides tags from 60 least recently used; and archival opens a real Chrome to save the whole page for posterity.
Unlimited API limits and direct requests to the database.
Pinboard charges for much less functionality $22/year.
Any users around?
I have been customizing it to the way I work, as it is meant to be. Bent it in a way that I enjoy holding it, so to say.
Maybe someone will find those useful, so I took the time to get it published.
Gruntfooot is a footer customization, where you can try new colors/glyphs in real time and also has theme support.
