This is a very silly thing to be doing in 2026, but I finally tried some Quake 1 recently. Pretty cool, it's amazing how much it really does just end up feeling like Doom in 3D.

Since I played both Doom and Quake 2 back in the day, it does feel like I've finally bridged that gap, to where I think I understand what people mean when they talk about Romero's influence in the design.

Another thing I think it makes really clear is just how much room-over-room changes the way the game spaces feel, even if no one's actively thinking about that while they play.

Piflux is a coding workflow. You can steer software development by running commands that issue reasonably general prompts. /plan, /code, /review I created this because I find it very useful to have different models/ perform each of those tasks in isolated sessions. ive been rocking my thinkpad 460s since 2018 or so, but ive just recently yolo purchased a chunky t420 for 80€. I gotta say this is the best laptop ive ever used, keyboard/io is unmatched and it still runs super snappy on omarchy right now, even with only 4 gigs of ram :D AND this thing has a cd drive!

its sad that newer models gradually lose features and quality... I love Thinkpads, but I cannot imagine myself using one 10 years from now...

No gas station near me has nitrogen so it had to be Costco. I topped off air and also filled gas while I was there. It’s only 5 miles from me, so overall not bad.
