Allegedly the brother of a long time friend is offering the "service". She says that the service will go down when the host is having outages, so the infra is likely local. The job market feels like it's been run over by a truck. What's the play here? Anything automated/streamlined (job platforms, LinkedIn, etc.) feels like a dead end. Messaging people, networking and so on seems like the only reasonable way, and that's a hustle all on its own.

Started reading exactly that and man it's mind-blowing. He's not anti-tech, he's anti big-company-culture-capture. Really insightful for being written in 1998. What I appreciate is he looks at a very wide view of tech, not just modern silicone.
