A thing I've been doing lately is trying to come to the same conclusions others have without looking their the direct techniques and code. anybody got some recent software recommendations that you cant live without anymore?

I’m not supposed to take that literally of course, but I don’t think software has such an important role in our lives, for most of us. Water, food, air. Those you can’t live without. When it comes to software, I spend most of my workdays in the shell (vim, git, grep,…) and if $place allows in mutt+weechat (although that’s mostly outlook and teams). Nothing particularly new!

Nextcloud with Files, Talk, Calendar, Memories and more is damn useful for family life though 🙂

WM keyboard, it's such an absurdly overenginereed keyboard but I love it so much! Very responsive developer too.

The essential work of is building the theory of the problem + solution. Theory then enables creation of working code. In the end, the code is necessary, but it is not sufficient. Theory is indispensable. (cf. Peter Naur, 1985)

I'm really interested to play around with textlog for a bit. I miss the space that once was Twitter and its constraints. Let's see if we find any users here ... ;)

Hitting a workout streak. I started using ladder app and have been consistent for the last two weeks. Three years ago I was 75 lbs heavier. Now trying to build muscle. Sitting and staring at a screen all day… I did that a bit too much ;)
