"My feed" shows two unread messages, but I can't find them, and browsing away from it, and coming back doesn't clear that count. Perhaps sorting (unread at the top) when there unread messages is a good idea @stagasprofilefollowcreative technologist creator of textlog?

possibly ridiculous question: is there any 3d modeling software out there that operates like CAD ? I got an email from battle.net to confirm my age. Apparently some content may be restricted to minors in the region my account is from. You would think that the account having been created 19 years ago, and with some CD-keys of games from the late 1990's having been added to it would be enough proof, but oh well.

I'd been listening to di.fm for years, and have been missing a MacOS app. Thanks, Antigravity, for making the world of personalized software really easy: fifteen minutes and two small bugs later, github.com/haykinson/difmplayer gives me a Spotify-style player. Yay!

"Sharing economy" once meant something. You'd Uber someone B→C when already driving A→B→C→D; you'd AirBNB your home when vacationing and stay at someone else's home who was doing the same. No driving just for Uber; no houses just for AirBNB. I fear this history will be forgotten.

Any runners on here? I mostly consider myself a trail runner, but of course train on roads, too. Good for 1–2 races/year, more into running as a practice, a way to manage stress and stay fit.

(Opinion) People don’t like generative AI because it made the {insert creativity} too easy. Saw the HN post on ‘AI music banned from top 40 chart in Australia’ and people had very strong opinions in both directions. The hot take: If you’re ok with someone’s creativity being outsourced to others, then you should be ok with AI doing the same. If “AI made this and I call it mine” is bad but “someone overseas on fivver made this and I call it mine” and it’s suddenly ok, time to self reflect.

#AInotesfollow brings so many issues. It really accelerates. Not only the good parts but also the bad parts. Combine this with a product person that doesn't even know what a refinement is. I'm 41, maybe I'll study to pivot, maybe I'll get into trading. I can't handle it anymore.
