Last year I wasn't feeling too good. I turned forty, waited for surgery, and was hurt by my own colleagues. So I dealt with things. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability. One of the consequences was that I got a bit heavy. My body changed, and I didn't feel like myself. It was a problem for future me. So now I am here with this little belly of mine. We're not enemies, but I decided it's time to part ways. So I count calories. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability.

Almost back to baseline now, after a few months. trigger warning, eating disorders: I sometimes forget to log what I eat in my app of course, but what is perhaps slightly nore disturbing is the fact that I sometimes log stuff and then forget to actually eat them. I’m ambivert. When I spend time outdoors and with people I want to keep doing that, I become very extrovert. Can’t code in that mode. It’s hard to switch back to introvert but when that happens time flies really quick. A month can pass and it feels like a week.

On some Mastodon instances, they post whole blog posts or massive threads and I feel this type of platform is not the place for such content. But this is clearly personal taste.

Trying tsoding/tatr idea for task tracking in the project. Instead of his C implementation asked CC to implement tatr.el. I do similar thing with vulpea, even my org notes have timestamp ids. Tatr tasks live in the repo, which is good.

Been sorting packages all evening. I don't work for the post office. I do this for fun, I think. Maybe I just like to automate things and make them perfect.

Do you code in silence or do you listen to music? If so, what kind of music do you prefer? Personally, I prefer Synthwave, vaporwave or the occasional country.

I feel icky about code generation (as in writing software to generate code).

Deterministic code generation is fine by me. Quite happy to use templating systems for example. Problems occur when randomness is introduced. If you can avoid that it should be less "icky".

I wonder, is life best lived like a job? I.e set goals for yourself and then work to achieve them? Today I realised how passively I have been living mine so far, but maybe that's ok? I don't want a second job.
