Switching from Claude Max to Team, cc was trivial, just another login, but Claude Desktop and on iOS holds sessions in the cloud so need to move them somehow.

Turned Stepper (self-hosted AWS StepFunctions) into client-server. Server hosts state machines, clients poll for tasks. New resources about running #claudenotesfollow. claude -p works, now thinking if I need interactive session management.

I've linked up my blog (jeff-mitchell.dev) to textlog. I hope to use the two things together now to build a bit more of a writing habit. The 500 character increase is nice, room to breath but not an essay. Gotta build the muscles slowly :)

Last year I wasn't feeling too good. I turned forty, waited for surgery, and was hurt by my own colleagues. So I dealt with things. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability. One of the consequences was that I got a bit heavy. My body changed, and I didn't feel like myself. It was a problem for future me. So now I am here with this little belly of mine. We're not enemies, but I decided it's time to part ways. So I count calories. Maybe not so well, but to the best of my ability.

being a student is great but the tasks are really quite boring. ive worked in academia now a little bit and its genuinely much more fun to work on something real, read papers, do experiments and write. Been working on an old mastodon hosting project I tried to start a few years ago, with a focus on privacy. This is the first big project I've tried to come back to with the help of coding agents and find it invigorating, and gives me the confidence to actually finish the project. Who knows if it will ever make a dollar, but it sure is fun to watch my ideas come to life.
