this is where I live. itโs a plateau. itโs quiet, we have cats and there are goats around and fig and pear trees.
Fired up street view on Google Maps to have a look around. It seems like a pretty relaxed and peaceful place to live. ๐
I was obsessed with Greece as a kid because of The Chipmunk's Adventure movie where they were dancing on the statues, ha. I was more into he statues (even if cartoon) than the dancing, and yet I have still never been there (I'm 45).
Crete is beautiful, I remember being on vacation there many years ago and hiking a long gorge. It was a really great experience.

and the little laptop doesn't have enough memory, so I originally bought this main terminal for programming, I don't know what I wanted to program with it anymore, but it hums like a data center, and if I upgrade it a little, the Gemma 4 LLM will be able to run on it screaming
Sunk cost fallacy is no longer applicable in the age of . Now you can do broad changes without second thought, u can always revert back, without incurring the cost of doing so, since itโs all done so quickly and effortlessly.
I think it will still apply, just perhaps to a lesser degree. Kind of related to I wrote recently (not to shamelessly plug my stuff ๐ซฃ)

creator of textlog is on vacation, or otherwise engaged with other affairs...ive been rocking my thinkpad 460s since 2018 or so, but ive just recently yolo purchased a chunky t420 for 80โฌ. I gotta say this is the best laptop ive ever used, keyboard/io is unmatched and it still runs super snappy on omarchy right now, even with only 4 gigs of ram :D AND this thing has a cd drive!
