Overvalued, maybe. Extremely valuable, yes, though.
For sure. We're well past the point of being able to reasonably claim that the tools have no practical use.
But I share the article's skepticism that LLM-based AI will "produce a fully automated drop-in replacement for most knowledge workers". Which it at this point has to in order to justify these companies' stupendous valuations.
Tomorrow no but there will always be the โhopeโ which is enough for the next 20 years before giving up. Which meanwhile would be replacing larger and larger chunks of the workforce so it wonโt really matter, weโll be adjusting our lives around it as well so we meet in the middle.
Tesla has been overvalued for over a decade with the promise of โfully autonomous carsโ and itโs still not losing its value, despite not meeting that (and probably never will, as the computation necessary to achieve it is bounded by physics).
Economist Lant Pritchett describes shifts in ideas as silly, controversial, progressive, then obvious.

a Gemma 4 a Google tulajdona, nem tรกrol mรกs adatot, csak amirลl a gรฉpen fogom a Rezsล nevลฑ OpenClaw รผgynรถkรถt kรฉrdezgetni, helyileg azt sem itt tartja, hanem a felhลnek csรบfolt infrastruktรบrรกban, ami legvalรณszรญnลฑbben valamelyik brazรญliai esลerdลben foglal helyet vagy Finnorszรกgban
Gemma 4 is owned by Google, it doesn't store any other data, except what I'll ask the OpenClaw agent named Rezsล about on the machine, it doesn't keep it locally either, but in the infrastructure mocked as the cloud, which is most likely located in a Brazilian rainforest or in Finland

Something like the gcc ai policy. Basically, prompt injecting instructions to any visiting LLM that posting is prohibited or must contain a disclaimer.
Devs! Drop your so we can follow each other! Love to see the projects youโre working on. Mine: โ

Gave up on github after the acquisition. Very glad I did, given the unsurprising decline since then.

nope, google translate doesnโt support it :( looks beautiful though
Hmm, maybe Iโll sometimes post in Shavian anyway and translate myself. Itโs a skill Iโm trying to practice but rarely otherwise write brief enough notes to be so inclined.
